Is drinking Slim fast for two meals a day healthy?
Any suggestions on an easy, calories reduced diet that is cost effective?
To me slim fast is a quick way to lose your weight with out thinking about it. Also many people do not realize that it is very high in sugar and cause major health problems down the road for you if there is a chance of diabetes in your family.
I would if I were you go with a program that helps you learn the proper way to eat say like weight watchers or get some good books on the subject. I like the book that is called “Diets don’t work” or “diets still don’t work” by Bob Schwartz he has a great line of books that you just don’t read but they are work books too. They helped me lose a little over 200 lbs 20 years ago.
With slim fast it also puts you on a very low cal base too. If you are living in bed and not moving you will lose weight with them. Here is the down side most people gain there weight back and then some because they slow down there metabolism so much while on the diet. Look for a program you can stick to for life is you best bet. Because it should never be a diet to you but a life change it is the only way you will lose the weight and keep it off. A diet (at least to me) is a temp thing and you go back to your old ways of eating after it is over. Believe it or not losing the weight is the easy part of all this keeping it off is the trick you need to master. If you don’t you will set your self up to fail before you even begin.
I used to take slim fast but it can give you diarrhea, plus, at least for me, I was starving when I used slim fast. I recomend you eat your starchy and sugary foods early as then you give your body a chance to use that energy instead of eating it at dinner and going to bed maybe three hours later. Also, stay ways from anything fried, and fast food, deserts, etc, eat a ton of lean meats, which is chicken, turkey, fish, and some porkdon’t eat too much red meat, stay away from fatty meats like sausage and salami. Also, try to eat 5-8 smaller meals a day rather than 3 normal sized meals. When you eat more, but smaller meals, it keeps doesn't shock your system like when you eat a big meal, so your metabolism works much better. Lastly, drink only water. I drink 12 bottles a day, it is hard but soda and all that has empty calories and sugar which turns into fat when it is digested. Even diet soda is bad because your body is expecting something from the calories coming in, however they are empty calories with no nutrition and in effect make you hungrier. As far as money, it isnt bad because one meal will be a couple pieces of fruit, one meal can be a handful of dry roasted peanuts with a yougurt, etc As far as water, you dont need to buy bottles, so water is cheaper than anyhting. Slim Fast is garbage, nothing more than sugar water with a tiny bit of protein added in. Sugar is the 2nd largest ingredient in the regular Slim Fast drink products

Is Slim Fast An Effective Diet Plan
I am about 5'8 between 140-145 pounds. I do not consider myself overweight, but would like to lose just a few pounds. Would Slim Fast be effective for this type of weight loss?I already eat fairly healthy and exercise so I don't need information about that, I just want to know if Slim Fast would work
Slimfast is just reducing the amount of calories you have for two meals a day.
I believe it is an okay jump start if you want quick results, but should not be used long term.
The shakes are around 170-200 calories each.
In theory if you eat your other meal and very light snacks in addiction to completely swapping out your meals with the shakes, you will lose those pounds. But it is possible to gain them back once you go back to your old eating habits.
A jumpstart to weight loss? Yes?
Permanent solution? Not really.
I'm drinking slimfast for lunch instead of spending money and time going out to eat.
It also curbs my chocolate craving I'm not trying to lose weight, so I eat fruit in addition to the shake for breakfast and lunch.
The powder is good because you can make thick milkshake type meals and add other powdered vitamins and minerals.
The premade shakes are good for on the go. I keep a box in my car.

I have about 2-3 weeks before i go back to work and want people to actualy be able to see the difference. Anythings that's too quick doesn't last so try this:
Okay. Cut out eating in between meals.
Only eat healthy food and cut down on Carb’s like bread, potatoes, pasta's, rice, cereals, lollies etc. These are the fat making foods. Learn exactly what your food groups are so you then know what puts the weight on and off.
Don’t add salt to your meals. Cut out soft drinks.
Then walk an hour every morning two hours after a meal and the same in the afternoon.
If you can jog in between both sessions you'll burn even more calories.
You should lose and continue to lose more weight as you go.
If you can cut out your lunch meal and replace it with a protein drink instead that would also help. Available in supermarkets.
As long as you can stay off junk food and eating in between meals. If you have to eat something in between have something like small raw carrots or celery sticks.
Choose a cereal low in sugar for breakfast.
Lunch can be a protein drink. Like “Slim Right”.
And all normal meals at a normal serve. Cut down on potatoes and only have small portions of these. Walking as much as you can.
For those that want to build more muscle add some gym work to the above as well.
